Which floorball stick should I choose? (Read more here)

Length

The stick should reach approximately 5–10 centimeters above your navel. Please note that the length stated on our website refers to the total shaft length without the blade. With a blade mounted, the total length increases by approximately 10–12 cm.

It is important to choose the right length to perform at your best. We have created a more detailed guide with all the information you need to determine which floorball stick length is best for you.

Table:

Your height in cm (shaft length in cm):

  • <115 (<60)
  • 115–125 (65–70)
  • 125–135 (71–75)
  • 135–145 (76–79)
  • 145–155 (80–85)
  • 155–165 (86–90)
  • 165–175 (91–95)
  • 175–180 (96–100)
  • >180 (101–104)

Flex

Flex refers to the stiffness of the shaft and affects how much the stick bends. If a stick bends 26 mm, it has a flex of 26. You should choose a flex that suits your strength, technique, and playing style.

In our guide about flex you will find everything you need to choose the right flex.

  • Men: 23–27 depending on strength and playing style.
  • Women: Usually prefer 28–30.
  • Junior: Recommended 27–32.
  • Children: Recommended 32–36.

Shaft

Recent developments in floorball shafts have created new opportunities for better shooting and technique. Around half of all players use straight shafts, but oval and curved shafts are becoming increasingly popular.

Grip

Grip preference is individual, so it is best to test different options. It is recommended to change your grip tape regularly to maintain a good grip.

Blade

Floorball blades come in different stiffness levels: soft, medium, and hard. A softer blade provides better control and is easier for passing and receiving.

A harder blade usually provides more powerful shots. It is important to test what suits you best. If a blade breaks, it is easy to replace.

Handedness

If the stick is to your left and your right hand is on top, you are a left player. This is the most common orientation.

If the stick is to your right and your left hand is on top, you are a right player. This is less common.
