Joel Forssell
Innebandy24’s store manager Joel has been playing floorball since a young age, but his journey within the sport has taken a slightly different path. For a long time, he mainly played for fun, but since moving to Stockholm in 2019, his involvement in floorball has intensified. He is now a goalkeeper in Division 3, and in addition to playing, he is also active as a youth coach and sports director at Mariebergs SK.
Joel has broad experience within floorball. One of his teams, the 09/10 team he coaches, won gold at the Linköping Floorball Games, marking a major success during his first year with the team. He has also completed several courses through the Swedish Floorball Federation, including coaching education at the blue level (ages 8–12) and goalkeeper training for red groups (ages 12–16). In addition, he is a certified referee, further expanding his knowledge of the sport.
What drives Joel the most in floorball is the people and the sense of community the sport creates. He enjoys meeting new people and building relationships through the game. As a goalkeeper, he strives to always stay alert and focused, and he describes his playing style as calm yet aggressive when needed.
In addition to his roles as a player and coach, Joel has also been involved in organizing cups and tournaments, both as a participant, coach, and referee. His greatest strengths in floorball are his composure and determination, qualities he always tries to pass on to his teammates and young players.
When it comes to equipment, Joel primarily uses goalkeeper gear from Blindsave. He prefers helmets from ProMask, although he is not currently using one, and plays with Wear2 gloves, which provide the protection and flexibility he needs to perform at his best.
Right now, Joel’s life largely revolves around floorball. If he’s not in the Innebandy24 store in Bromma, you’ll most likely find him at a floorball court training, playing, or refereeing matches.
